The European Institute of the Mediterranean (IEMed) is launching the Euromed Survey 2026 on “Development cooperation in crisis – future scenarios for the Euro-Mediterranean region”.

At a time when the international development cooperation system is facing shrinking budgets, and the rationale, legitimacy and governance of aid are increasingly being questioned, this open region-wide survey aims to map perceptions of current trends, to explore possible scenarios for the future of cooperation in the region and identify opportunities and orientations that can help donors and development cooperation agencies (and other development actors) to take advantage of the current shifts and adapt their strategies and instruments to current shifts.

In order to accurately reflect priorities and viewpoints in the respective national contexts, the survey targets respondents from the EU and the Southern and Eastern Mediterranean countries, including policymakers, experts, civil society representatives and the private sector.
